Backend Developer - Python (m/f/d)

In this position, you would:

Be part of a motivated software development team and write code for more millions of users worldwide
Take on the responsibility for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the core Bikemap code base which is being interfaced by the Android- and iOS-App as well as the Web-Frontend
Work together with designers and product specialists who deliver you concepts, bringing to life exciting new use cases for cyclists
Work on new projects / ideas to challenge yourself and others
Review PRs by other developers, ensuring good code readability and future proof code

What you bring:

3+ years relevant professional experience
Extensive knowledge and experience in developing web applications
Prior experience with Django, RESTful API design, pyTest and PostgreSQL
Experience with Django REST framework, Geo Django, Elasticsearch, NGINX, Redis and/or Jenkins is a plus but not mandatory
An eye for perfection, the inability to give up on hard problems, a balanced form of perfectionism, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
Commitment to standards & writing clean and maintainable code
Very good English skills
Experience with GIS tools or Maps is a plus
Basic Linux skills and experience with managing Web-Infrastructure (preferably in AWS) is also a plus but not mandatory

The gross monthly salary for this position, according to the IT Collective Agreement in job grade ST1, is at least € 3,077 (paid 14 times per year). With relevant experience and qualifications, an overpayment is possible.
