Backend Developer - Python (m/f/d)

In this position, you would:
  • Be part of a motivated software development team and write code for more millions of users worldwide
  • Take on the responsibility for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the core Bikemap code base which is being interfaced by the Android- and iOS-App as well as the Web-Frontend
  • Work together with designers and product specialists who deliver you concepts, bringing to life exciting new use cases for cyclists
  • Work on new projects / ideas to challenge yourself and others 
  • Review PRs by other developers, ensuring good code readability and future proof code
What you bring:
  • 3+ years relevant professional experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in developing web applications
  • Prior experience with Django, RESTful API design, pyTest and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Django REST framework, Geo Django, Elasticsearch, NGINX, Redis and/or Jenkins is a plus but not mandatory
  • An eye for perfection, the inability to give up on hard problems, a balanced form of perfectionism, a positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
  • Commitment to standards & writing clean and maintainable code
  • Very good English skills
  • Experience with GIS tools or Maps is a plus
  • Basic Linux skills and experience with managing Web-Infrastructure (preferably in AWS) is also a plus but not mandatory

The gross monthly salary for this position, according to the IT Collective Agreement in job grade ST1, is at least € 3,077 (paid 14 times per year). With relevant experience and qualifications, an overpayment is possible.
